Frank Massarella's Clay School at Firehouse Pottery Clay School meets at Frank Massarella's Firehouse Pottery, Gallery & Clay School at 109 S. Montgomery St. in Ojai, CA. Winter 2010 sessions are underway. The Spring Session starts the week of April 19 and runs through June 26. The Firehouse Pottery Clay School provides an opportunity for adult students of all levels to develop their ceramics skills in a professional pottery studio setting. Learn wheel-throwing and hand-building from Beginners through Advanced Techniques. Student skills are nurtured in a small class size setting and students are provided extra lab hours five days a week in our professional studio. Our ten week session includes one 3 hour lesson per week with 5 open studio days every week where students can take advantage of practice time in the studio. Our class schedule is as follows: Monday 6-9 p. Wheel Throwing & Hand Building. Rob Luongo's Monday Night Mudclub Tuesday 6-9 p. Wheel Throwing & Hand-building. Tuesday's with Trevor Lare. Wednesday 1-4p. Wheel Throwing. Frank Massarella's Mud Meditation. Thursday 6-9 p. Frank Massarella's Mud Maniacs. Friday 1-4 p. Handbuilding. Dusti Pelow's Zen Time. Saturday 9-12 n. Frank Massarella's Got Clay?. The Open Studio hours for Students are: Wednesday 11 a. - 4 p. Tuition is $375 for the 10 week session. With tuition students receive 25 pounds of clay and kiln space. Additional clay and kiln space can be purchased. Beginners will need to own their own tools. A complete kit of tools with bucket and clean up sponge is available for $25. One does not have to buy them from us but you must have a complete set. No borrowing amongst students is allowed as it simply doesn't work. Tuition must be received in full prior to the first class. Checks, Credit Cards and Cash accepted. Refund/Cancellation Policy: If you must cancel a class or workshop, every effort will be made to fill your space. If the space is filled, we will return your fee, less $30 for administration costs. No refunds will be made for cancellations less than 1 week before a class or workshop.
